A native Houstonian and seasoned corporate attorney, Veronica recently transitioned to running The Annex full time, where she brings her expertise to operations, marketing, sales, and events. As the first bride to get married at The Annex, Veronica shares a unique bond with every other couple who celebrates their love here. Her journey from bride to business owner fuels her passion for creating unforgettable wedding experiences, and she find immense joy in watching each couple’s dream day come to life.

As The Annex grows, Veronica looks forward to building a team that will continue expanding the venue’s vision and reach.

We’re looking for a creative self-starter—someone who is passionate about content creation, understands visual storytelling, and has a natural eye for polished, elevated aesthetics.

  • Capturing behind-the-scenes content
  • Planning, creating, posting content
  • Tracking insights and engagement metrics
  • Designing flyers and branded one-pagers
  • Using past data to strategize on future content

The ideal candidate is someone with a creative eye and a natural sense of what feels elevated, intentional, and on-brand. Past experience in content creation, social media, or visual brand support is preferred but not required. This is a flexible, hourly position with a consistent monthly workload.

Event Assistant

If you’re dependable, detail-oriented, and love being part of a behind-the-scenes team that makes weddings shine, this part-time role could be a great fit. We’re hiring a small team of Event Assistants to support setup, venue readiness, and client experience on event days at The Annex.

  • Opening the venue and prepping spaces
  • Stocking supplies
  • Light setup and spot-cleaning
  • Assisting the Events Coordinator as needed
  • Helping with teardown and venue closeout at the end of night

The ideal candidate is someone who is reliable, self-motivated, and comfortable working early mornings or late evenings on weekends. This is an hourly, part-time role, ideal for students or anyone who enjoys being part of events and takes pride in creating a polished guest experience.

Venue Operations Assistant

If you’re reliable, hardworking, and take pride in doing a job well, this part-time role could be a great fit. We’re hiring a Venue Operations Assistant to help keep our property beautiful, functional, and ready for some of the most important days in our clients’ lives.

  • Light grounds maintenance
  • Setting up tables, chairs & other furniture
  • Blowing leaves and tidying outdoor areas
  • Event-day setup & support
  • Assisting with trash removal and end-of-night teardown when needed

Hours vary based on event schedule, with flexible weekday shifts and heavier weekend availability in fall, winter, and spring. We’re looking for someone who is dependable, physically able to lift and move furniture with a teammate, and takes pride in working behind the scenes to make weddings run smoothly.
