grooms caboose

We have a little slice of history at The Annex! Our 1960’s Illinois Central Caboose is used as a private space for the groom and his groomsmen to get ready. It’s one of the things that makes The Annex one of the most unique wedding venues in Houston.

Our Caboose suite hails from the Illinois Central Railway. The Illinois Central line was the longest railroad in the world at one time. The famous song ‘City of New Orleans’ was written while riding this line from Chicago to New Orleans. After traveling all across the country and even serving a key role in the Civil War, our Caboose now serves as a unique part of your love story!

We took this little piece of history and completely renovated it. The Groom’s Caboose comes equipped with a full bathroom, mini-fridge, seating area, satellite TV and a spacious outdoor deck. This is the perfect space for hanging out with your crew on wedding day. All Aboard!
